Located on the Central Coast about an hour north of Sydney Australia, The Killcare-Wagstaffe Rural Fire Brigade has been protecting the communities of the Bouddi peninsula and assisting neighbouring areas and districts for over 50 years.
The Brigade is completely manned by volunteers who contribute more than 2000 hours to the service of the local community every year. We respond to bushfires, housefires, car accidents, trees down and other emergencies where our support is required.
Killcare Wagstaffe Rural Fire Brigade is always looking to expand it's membership, and there may be a position that you can fill. We are looking for people who live in the local area, and have some time to give and the drive to help their local community.

A well prepared home is more likely to survive a bush fire.
Even if your plan is to leave early, the more you prepare your home, the more likely it will survive a bush fire or ember attack. A well prepared home can also be easier for you or firefighters to defend, and is less likely to put your neighbours' homes at risk. A well prepared home will also give you more protection if a fire threatens suddenly and you cannot leave.
